This is a friendly reminder of our next scheduled quarterly MESPA meeting titled “Trauma Informed Care: Shifting our Approach to Serve Those in Need,” featuring Jamie Meyer, Vice President of EFFINITY Training and Education of Metropolitan Ministries. Thiswill take place on Sunday, April 18, 2021 from 6-8 pm, VIRTUALLY (online, and NOT at Tampa General Hospital)

“Medical Errors for the SLP,” Presented by Michelle Harvey, M.S., CCC-SLP of Tampa General Hospital, Sunday, July 11, 2021.

“EBP in Principles of Neuroplasticity for AAC Device Use and An SLP’s Guide to Training Communication Partners in AAC Use,” available for .1 ASHA CEU each hour. Presented by Jennifer Ackett, MS, CCC-SLP, Lingraphica Clinical In-Service Provider. SLPs may receive credit for one or both courses if they attend the full hour and complete the sign in and assessment for each. Sunday, October 10, 2021.

MESPA SYMPOSIUM (HOPEFULLY!)-April 2022

As always, MESPA meetings are open to speech-language pathologists, as well as students in the field of speech-language pathology, and quarterly meetings are FREE for 2.0 hours (Florida state license SLP CE Hours).

About Tampa Bay Medical Speech Pathology Association

MESPA is a local speech pathology organization in Tampa, Florida that started in 2000 to draw speech pathologists together to meet for continuing education. Currently, MESPA meets at Tampa General Hospital on a quarterly basis on the second Sunday evening of the month in January, April, July, and October from 6:00-8:00 pm.
