MESPA Virtual Quarterly Meeting 10/25/2020


Our next scheduled quarterly MESPA meeting featuring Cory O’Brien, M.A., CCC-SLP of Florida Hospital Physician Group, Voice and Swallowing Center on Laryngopharyngeal Reflux will take place on Sunday, October 25th from 6-8 pm, VIRTUALLY (online, and NOT at Tampa General Hospital)! You will be able to attend this next quarterly MESPA meeting in the comfort of your home.

Rules for attending this 2 hour CEU event through Microsoft Teams:

1) You must log in using the link provided and type your name when prompted in order for the CE administrator to take attendance.

2) You must remain logged into the CEU event for the entire duration to receive CE credit for this webinar.

3) You must complete a survey (which will be provided IN THE CHAT 10 minutes prior to the completion of the webinar)

4) The course is registered for 2 hours of Continuing Education for the state of Florida.

2020 MESPA Symposium Cancelled

Due to the current international pandemic of the Coronavirus, Tampa General Hospital has cancelled all of their events, including conferences, into the month of May; therefore, we must cancel our 2020 MESPA Symposium on Social Issues which was scheduled on Saturday, April 18th, 2020. We appreciate your understanding. The symposium will be rescheduled in April of 2021. Let us know if you have any questions or concerns. Stay safe everyone!

Sixth Annual MESPA Symposium

We are pleased to announce the Sixth Annual MESPA Symposium on “Social Issues Affecting the SLP” will be held on Saturday, April 18th from 8:30am-3:30 pm at Tampa General Hospital in the MacInnes Auditorium, 2nd floor, East Pavilion. We have an incredible group of speakers! Attached is the registration form. You may either fax (813/844-4142-fax) or email (MESPA2013@GMAIL.COM) your completed registration form: ATTENTION MESPA. Registration check-in will begin from 8:00-8:30 am and the symposium will being promptly at 8:30 am. Please bring your SLP Florida State License number for the sign-in so that you may receive credit for CEU’s. As always, this is a FREE EVENT and is offered for 5.5 CEU hours submitted to the Florida Speech-Language Pathology Board (ASHA CEU’s are NOT awarded for this event).

This symposium will take place of MESPA’s April quarterly meeting.
